I got my inspiration for this song due to being at the pub with my mates on a Friday, and there would always come to a point in the night where we are all looking down at our phones. I started questioning myself why that would be the case.
So I went to my guitar, played the first thing that came to my head; and came up with the line "Isolated by your LED'S". From there, the rest was history.
Tapping Away is an acoustically driven powerhouse about how mobile phones, computers, the internet, the media and social media have slowly taken over the world, brainwashing people to be so obsessed about what's going on their "screens", rather than what's going on in their surrounding environment. The song starts off as an acoustic country rock song, but as the track continues, it transitions into an explosive pop punk/emo driven climax to finish the song with a bang.
