"Neverland " - Backstory and Lyrics – Released 12 August 2022  

“Neverland” is a lot more upbeat than my previous releases and a transition in my sound that included "Silk Dress" . It has massive pop-punk vibes flowing through, which was music that inspired me as a young kid. I took some inspiration from the classic book, "Where The Wild Things Are", in the sense of having a place to go if the world seems too much at times. 

“Neverland” is a place in my mind which is an oasis and retreat from the daily challenges of life, particularly the current world turmoil and instability. The song is for all those marginalised people out there, that don't quite fit in and get hassled in their day to day lives. Hence the line in the song "Planet Earth is not my friend". not a great place at times with some people not being particularly nice to others. "Neverland" is dedicated to all those marginalised creative & non creative cool people out there who get a hard time most days. So for all you “outcasts” out there this this song is for you!

"Silk Dress" - Backstory and Lyrics - Released 24 February 2022 

“Silk Dress” was inspired by me recently reflecting on being a 5-year-old belting out Avril Lavigne’s “Skater Boy” on SingStar. I wanted to be a musician after hearing that track. She was my Celebrity Crush! At the time I wanted to play in a band with her. So, I decided to write a song about it. It is based around a young musician who aspires to being a successful artist making it on the charts. She embraces the lifestyle and dedicates her life to her music. If follows a similar theme to my recent song “Boots” in pursuing your dreams and doing the things you want to do in your life. So here's "Silk Dress".

"Boots" - Backstory and Lyrics - Released 1 Dec 2021

The underlying message of Boots is about life choices and pursuing your dreams with gusto. Living a life with no regrets. I am like everyone and have periods of self-doubt and that feeling of being paralysed in not pursuing my goals. "Boots" is all about overcoming your own reservations and making the first steps in achieving your goals in life. No matter how big a goal it is. Figure we are all on borrowed time, so we may as well do the things we dream of doing and turn those dreams into reality. Whether that succeeds or not, it doesn’t really matter. Its about having a crack and not looking back with regret of wonder what if !

So …… I wrote a song about it called “Boots”.

“Mr Nightowl” – Backstory and Lyrics – Released 15 July 2021 

“Mr Nightowl” is about an insomniac who struggles to get to sleep with the music in his/her brain. This is my pain at times when I need to finish off writing a song and I cant get to sleep because of unfinished business. End of the day it applies to all of us when you have something on your mind they can’t shake off until it is done.

“Stone Cold Killer” – Backstory &  Lyrics – Released 25 March 2021 

The underlying message of the song is the adverse legacy and consequences of making bad decisions in the heat of the moment. Decisions that affect not only you as an individual but your family and friends along with the victims of violence. In this song an innocent bystander a mother confronts the criminal during a robbery which leads to her sudden and unnecessary death. All through a split-second decision which ruins many lives and something he must live with for the rest of his life. The video directed and filmed by Trevor Worden takes the message to another level where the perpetrator initially glorifies his deed but soon realises the enormity of the situation and long-standing consequences of his act.
