The lyrics for this song were intended for a metal band I was trying to join. They gave me a riff, and I started writing a song about a robber who shoplifted a petrol station. I came up with the first verse, "There was a man by the window, he was waiting for me etc." The band ended up not wanting me and went on to do their thing, and they gave me back my lyrics.

I had these lyrics laying around for months gathering up dust, and then I found the riff that changed everything. From there, the rest came about slowly but surely. Stone Cold Killer is a sinister/chilling tale about a petrol station owner working a graveyard shift who is the narrator of this story as he takes you on a journey through his eyes of his story how a thief robbed him, took someone's life and how he got away.
There was a masked robber who approached him with a pistol in his hand; and demanded to give him all the money he possessed in the store.
As this is happening, there was a pregnant young woman in the back of the petrol station pushing her baby boy in a pram. He hears what's going on and demands the robber to stop.
The man turns around and as their eyes meet, there was a brief moment of silence. He broke the silence by activating the gun and firing 3 rapid fire shots into her chest; one shot to the heart, a shot to the ribs and a shot to her stomach; where the baby played inside cold and deceased.
Stone Cold Killer is an acoustic rock ballad bound to leave you in utter shock by it's gripping and evil story.

Lyrics

There was a man by the window, he was waiting for me
He wore a mask over his face, to hide his identity
And now I should've seen it coming from a mile away
How could I be so foolish, how did I let him get away?

He made his way to the front door, with a pistol in his hand
He fired 3 shots into the air, and started barking his commands
"I don't wanna have to hurt you, so do exactly what I say.
Just put the money into this bag, so that I can get away".

He was a stone cold killer
How could he ever look into a mirror?
And come to terms with it
He'll never be the same
He'll take this to the grave
A stone cold killer, how did he get away?

There was a lady standing in the back, she was pushing 'round a pram
Yeah she was minding her business, right until she heard the man
She said "What the hell you thinking, do you think you have the right,
To put a gun right up to his head, and put a threat upon his life?

He then turned around, their eyes they met
Little did she know he saw red
He took the gun right off his head
And took his aim right at her chest
She trembled as the bullets left
The chambers empty now she's dead
The blood it poured on the cement
His life had changed it's filled with dread

Ah ah ah, ahhh ah, ahhh ah
Ah ah ah, ahhh ah, ahhh ah

He was a stone cold killer
How could he ever look into a mirror?
And come to terms with it
He'll never be the same
He'll take this to the grave
A stone cold killer, how did he get away?
